Exciting Night, Inductions and Learning Loads

Day 2 of competition: Women’s 100m Heats, Women’s 1500, Men’s 800m Semi, Men’s 10 000m Final and of course BOLT were my highlights of the day.


I headed out in the morning to watch Kaila McNight in her 1500m Heats where she qualified for the Semi’s (Wednesday at 8:35pm Local Time, Make sure you tune in to SBS). I was also able to watch the women’s 100m Heats, it’s unreal watching these girls running live they are absolutely amazing and truly make me want o be out there. After heading back to the village for a bit of a break the Aussies headed back out to the track to watch the evening session which featured Dani Samuels in the Discus, unfortunately it wasn’t Dani’s night.

Another week down which brings me one week closer to hopping on the plane to Korea. We were blessed with a beautiful week up here, while there was still the usual cool breeze, we had ALOT of sunshine.
We have been in Daegu for just over a week now, more of the Australian team as well as teams from other countries so the atmosphere is growing.
