Falls Creek Trip #1

As I write this blog from sixteen-hundred metres altitude at the popular Falls Creek Ski Village in the Victorian Highlands, I am chilled out and recovering from my Sunday long run. With my coffee sitting next to the laptop and all my recovery food & drink already consumed, I will now attempt to give you an interesting read.

Less than 24hrs

I now have less than twenty-four hours until I race. It's about time too. We (Australia) have had some ups and downs in the championships, but we've gained momentum as it went on. I'm not saying that I'll be able to add to our medal tally, but hopefully I will be able to contribute a worthwhile performance ahead of the final night of competition.

The 2011 IAAF World Championships promised to be a highpoint in the 17-year career of Toowoomba athletics coach Gerrard Keating.
Toowoomba sprinter Charlotte van Veenendaal has enlisted the help of world-championship winning duo Brendon Smith and Michael Katsidis in her quest for international success.
Another week down which brings me one week closer to hopping on the plane to Korea. We were blessed with a beautiful week up here, while there was still the usual cool breeze, we had ALOT of sunshine.
We have been in Daegu for just over a week now, more of the Australian team as well as teams from other countries so the atmosphere is growing.
