Luzern

Well, I have now had my first race of my 2011 European campaign, which took place on Thursday July 21st in Luzern, Switzerland. I finished 5th in 56.60 which is faster than I opened in Europe last year and about the same time (electric) as what my time trial was last week.

The weather was ominous in Luzern, with much of Thursday under a misty, rainy cover. We were lucky that the rain ceased for the competition although I was the third-last event of the night and it had cool down quite a bit by then. All of the girls in the field has a SB (Season’s Best) of sub-56sec so I knew that it was the perfect first race for me.

Another week down which brings me one week closer to hopping on the plane to Korea. We were blessed with a beautiful week up here, while there was still the usual cool breeze, we had ALOT of sunshine.
We have been in Daegu for just over a week now, more of the Australian team as well as teams from other countries so the atmosphere is growing.
