Inside Athletics is Australia's first digital magazine dedicated to athletics and is independently owned and operated by David Byrne and Tim McGrath.

Inside Athletics was launched in September, 2007 as a custom publication by The Rusty Cage, hosted and distributed by Athletics NSW. Through the collaboration of publisher David Byrne and editor Tim McGrath (then the Communication Manager with Athletics NSW) the work quickly attracted a strong following within the athletics community in NSW and throughout Australia.

Inside Athletics gradually broadened its scope from its NSW centric origins to become a national publication. In February, 2009 it moved to its own domain (www.insideathletics.com.au) and adopted a page turning platform.

Our commitment to you is to provide high class, indepth, independent and unbiased reporting on our sport.
