Athletics wonder boy hits Hunter

He has been billed as the successor to Craig Mottram.

Some have even likened him to a young Herb Elliott.

His name is Ryan Gregson, and Newcastle athletics fans will get a chance to see track and field's next big thing in action at the inaugural Hunter Track Classic at Glendale on February 6.

Calm down a little bit please.

First of all, I put the article up on the site (not Dave), but regardless, when he or I do add an article it does not necessarily mean we endorse its content. It is simply a reflection that one of us have read it and that others might find it interesting - for better or worse.

Regarding Nic Bideau, I have never met the man, but he certainly has a reputation (both good as well as bad) which precedes him. Despite that, or perhaps because of it, he is very good at selling the story of the athletes that he represents - I dare say that there would have been one less piece of athletics coverage in the media if it were not for his comments.

Maybe it is a bit of a sad reflection on the state of the sport, but some coverage, even if biased, is probably better than none. Then again, I'm not convinced that Bideau is the messiah that ANSW make him out to be https://www.clubsonline.com.au/news/index.cfm?fuseaction=display_main&NewsID=11590&orgid=52

Blatant plug? Why did you link to it then? If you want a blatant plug look at the piece on the ANSW website - talk about talking an organisations ability down!!! The whole meet is a Bideaufest and ANSW can't take any credit for it.

I wonder what AA think about Nic Bideau starting the flex his muscles again? He is showing that he still pulls all of the strings in the sport.

I am not sure that Ian Hatfield would be too pleased to see that Nic is the coach of Ryan?

Don't bother reading this article...it's just a blatant plug for Bideau. Although I do agree that Gregson is the next big thing.
