Hooker flops, Pearson shines in Monaco

Australian pole vault king Steve Hooker flopped but hurdler Sally Pearson shone at the Diamond League in Monte Carlo on Friday.


Pearson claimed victory in the 100m hurdles in 12.51 seconds to continue her winning streak in the Diamond League after arriving in Monaco with two victories already to her name.

The win also gave the Australian a boost over American rivals Kellie Wells and Danielle Carruthers and lifts her to the front of the Diamond League points race with 12.
