Three-time Olympian Tamsyn Manou begins her attempt to qualify for the 800m at the London Games at next Saturday's Adelaide Track Classic, after confirming at the weekend she will retire at the end of this.

The 33-year-old Manou, nee Lewis, who injured a calf muscle last November, returned to competition at the Hunter Track Classic at the weekend, winning the 400m in 53.14 seconds, ahead of Pirrenee Steinert.
She said she was happy with her time, although she was "not fast at the moment".
"I was injured in November and I am not used to being injured," she said. "I am nowhere near my best but I am getting back into it."
