Inside Athletics is a photography blog by Tim McGrath that celebrates Australian athletics.

Over the past decade Inside Athletics has existed in various formats. It’s origins stem from 2007 when David Byrne created the title as an e-magazine which was supported by Athletics NSW (where Tim worked at the time). The title was relaunched in 2009 as a website, blog and photography database. The website was regularly updated until 2014 and served as a progressive voice celebrating athlete achievements and advocating for change within the administration of Australian athletics.

A special print edition of the Inside Athletics magazine served as the official meet program for the Sydney Track Classic in 2009 when Tim and Dave were contracted by Athletics NSW to manage the local area marketing for the event.

In 2012 the website was incorporated into the National Library of Australia's Pandora collection as a publication of national significance.
